Sharing

Invite another LifeAxis account holder to see your data, and manage who has access to yours — from Settings.

LifeAxis is built around your own account, but life isn't lived alone. Sharing lets you invite another LifeAxis account holder — a partner, for example — to see into your data, and lets you see who's invited you.

Inviting someone

From Settings > Sharing, enter the email address of the person you want to share with and send the invite. It works whether they already have a LifeAxis account or not:

  • If they already have an account, the invite appears in their Settings straight away.
  • If they don't yet, they'll get an email inviting them to sign up. Once they do — using the same email address — the invite is waiting for them automatically.

Access is read-only for now. The person you invite can see your data, but can't make changes to it. Write access is planned for a later release.

Accepting or declining

If someone invites you, you'll see the pending invite under Settings > Sharing. You can accept or decline — both ask for confirmation first, since accepting gives someone visibility into your data and declining tells them you've said no.

Managing access

Every grant — whether you sent it or received it — shows its current status (Pending, Active, Declined, Revoked, Left) and an action menu:

  • As the grantor, you can revoke access at any time, or resend the invite email if it didn't arrive.
  • As the grantee, you can remove your own access to something you've been given, without needing to ask the other person.
  • Once a grant is no longer active (declined, revoked, or left), either person can archive it to tidy their list — the record isn't deleted, just hidden from the default view.

If you invite someone again after a decline or revoke, it starts a fresh invite rather than reviving the old one, so the history of what happened is kept.

What this doesn't do yet

Right now, Sharing is the handshake — the invite, accept, and access-management flow. It does not yet control which of your data someone can see once they've accepted; that fine-grained control is coming in a later release, alongside write access, adviser (professional) access, and emergency access for a trusted contact.
