What is the "Eat the Frog" feature?

"Eat the Frog" is a productivity technique where you tackle your most important or challenging task first thing each day.

The idea comes from Mark Twain: "If it's your job to eat a frog, it's best to do it first thing in the morning."

How it works in LifeAxis:

  1. Each day, mark one task as your Frog
  2. This task appears prominently on your dashboard
  3. Complete it first before moving to other tasks
  4. Feel accomplished knowing your biggest task is done.

Benefits:

  • Momentum:Starting with your hardest task builds momentum for the rest of the day
  • Reduced procrastination:No more putting off that difficult task
  • Clarity:Forces you to identify what's truly most important

Find your Frog in Time → Tasks and look for the frog icon.

How do I create recurring tasks?

Recurring tasks automatically recreate themselves on a schedule, perfect for regular responsibilities.

To create a recurring task:

  1. Create a new task in Time → Tasks
  2. Toggle on Make this recurring
  3. Set the recurrence pattern (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.)
  4. Choose which days or dates the task should repeat

Recurrence options:

  • Daily:Every day or specific days of the week

  • "Review budget": Monthly on the 1st

  1. Open a task for editing
  2. Set a Start Date for when you'll work on it
  3. Optionally add a Start Time for a specific hour
