Running a vehicle costs more than most people realise. LifeAxis pulls together everything you have already recorded and shows you the full picture automatically.
What you will see
The Cost Analysis tab on any vehicle shows your total spend broken down by category:
- Maintenance and repairs: servicing, tyres, brakes, and any other work
- Fuel: costs logged via the mileage tracker
- Finance: your monthly payment or finance agreement cost
- Insurance: the premium from your linked insurance policy
- Bills: any recurring vehicle costs such as breakdown cover
- Transactions: any bank or card transactions assigned directly to the vehicle
- Other: anything that does not fit the above
You can filter by time period: this month, this year, all time, or a custom range.
How it works
LifeAxis does not ask you to enter costs twice. It reads from records you have already added:
- Maintenance and repair records contribute their cost directly
- Fuel costs are pulled from the mileage tracker
- Bills assigned to the vehicle contribute their recurring amount
- Finance agreements contribute the monthly payment
- Transactions tagged to the vehicle are included in the total
The result is a running cost picture that stays current as you add records.
Getting started
The more complete your vehicle data, the more accurate the cost view:
- 1Add maintenance records with a cost for each piece of work
- 2Log fuel fills in the mileage tracker
- 3Link your insurance policy and assign a bill to it
- 4Set up a finance agreement if you have one
- 5Assign any recurring bills (breakdown cover, tax) to the vehicle
- 6Tag relevant bank or card transactions to the vehicle
Once those are in place, the Cost Analysis tab does the rest.
