Maintenance records capture every piece of unscheduled work done on your vehicle: tyre changes, brake replacements, bodywork repairs, electrical faults, and anything else that comes up between services. This is separate from your formal service history.
What you can record
Each maintenance entry stores:
- Date and mileage at the time of work
- Category (see below)
- Provider
- Cost
- Description and notes
You can also link a maintenance record to a transaction in your Finance module, so the cost pulls through from your actual bank record rather than being entered twice.

How it feeds cost analysis
Every maintenance record contributes to the cost analysis view on your vehicle. If a record is linked to a transaction, the transaction amount is used. If not, the cost you entered is used. This means your running cost picture stays accurate without any double entry.
