When you add a UK-registered vehicle, LifeAxis fetches your vehicle data from the DVLA and DVSA automatically. No manual data entry needed for the basics.
What gets imported
From the DVLA:
- Make, model, colour, engine size, and fuel type
- First registration date
- Tax status and renewal date
From the DVSA MOT History API:
- Full MOT test history including pass and fail results
- Advisory items from each test
- Test mileage readings
- Next MOT due date
Keeping it up to date
You can refresh your DVLA data at any time from the vehicle record. This is useful after an MOT, when your tax renews, or if any details change.
Non-UK vehicles
DVLA lookup only works for UK registrations. If your vehicle is registered outside the UK, enter the details manually when adding the vehicle.
