LifeAxis keeps a driving record for every household member who drives. Licence details, penalty points, and incident history are stored in one place and feed directly into the insurance quote preparation view on any linked vehicle.
Licence details
For each driver, store:
- Licence number
- Licence status: full, provisional, international, or other
- Photocard expiry date: LifeAxis will alert you when this is within 90 days of expiry
- Counterpart expiry date: for older licences that have a paper counterpart
Licence categories
Record the full set of DVLA entitlement categories held on the licence — A, B, C, D, and their subtypes (A1, A2, B1, C1, D1, and so on). This is particularly useful for named driver information on insurance quotes.
Penalty points
Log each endorsement with:
- Offence code: the DVLA code for the offence (e.g. SP30, IN10)
- Date added: when the points were applied
- Expiry date: when the points drop off the licence
LifeAxis calculates total active points automatically, excluding any that have passed their expiry date. This total is shown on the driving profile and used in insurance quote preparation.
Incident history
Record any driving incidents against a household member's profile:
- Convictions
- Accidents
- Driver awareness courses
- Insurance claims
Each incident stores the date and relevant details. This builds a comprehensive driving history that is useful when an insurer asks about incidents in the past five years.
Insurance quote preparation
All driving information stored in LifeAxis feeds into the insurance quote preparation view on any vehicle the person is linked to as a policy holder or named driver. You do not need to remember the details — LifeAxis surfaces them when you need them.
