Payment Frequency

Set exactly when a bill is paid: weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually, or on a fully custom schedule.

Every bill has a payment frequency that tells LifeAxis when payments occur. This is used to calculate monthly and annual totals and to surface upcoming payments in the correct period.

Frequency options

  • Weekly: paid every week
  • Fortnightly: paid every two weeks
  • Monthly: paid once a month
  • Quarterly: paid every three months
  • Bi-annual: paid twice a year
  • Annual: paid once a year
  • Custom: paid every N weeks, months, or years, for unusual schedules
  • Selected months: paid only in specific months of the year, for example council tax paid over 10 months

Start and end dates

Every bill can have a start date and an end date. End dates are useful for fixed-term contracts such as energy tariffs, broadband deals, or finance agreements with a defined expiry.

There is also a separate contract end date field for cases where the contractual obligation ends at a different time from the final payment.

Monthly and annual totals

LifeAxis converts all frequencies to a monthly and annual equivalent so you can see your total committed outgoings consistently, regardless of how each individual bill is actually paid.
